Well, what a great start I had to day 2 of my KDE4 excursion. Although it toook me longer then expected, I finally found a site that hit a brick wall when opened with Konqueror. Big suprise, I know... So, not wanting to install any apps that depend on GTK during the next two weeks (except for when I absolutely need them for my work) I installed the only other Qt-based web browser out there, Opera.
Let me get something straight, I don't like Opera, or Konqueror for that matter. They both have shoddy engines compared to WebKit or even Gecko, but out of the two Opera is much better, so I digress.
I'm an MPD guy when it comes to music under Linux, and Sonata has been my music player client of choice. Unfortunately, I can't find a KDE or Qt music player client that I like, so I'm returning to the music player I've grown to despise, Amarok.
I still don't get why Amarok is such a big hit amongst Linux users personally, the UI is a mess, especially the collection browser. Personally, I'd rather be using iTunes on Windows than Amarok, but since that's not an option I'll just grin and bear it, because hey, it at least plays music.
Also, even though Opera thankfully works with gmail (small miracles *DO* happen), I still feel the urge to try out Kontact. But that's best left for another day, and I've probably rambled on enough for today anyways.
